MUMMIES DISCOVERED IN TOMB
Archaeologist in Egypt discovered tomb of a royal gold smith
containing mummies of a woman and children.
The tomb dating back to the New kingdom (16th to 11th centuries)was found near Nile city of luxor,400miles south of cairo.
The items discovered inside was a statue of goldsmith Amenemhat,sitting be side his wife.the mummies were found down a burial shaft leading at the main chamber.
The archaeologist said the mother died aged about 50 with the test revealing she had a bone bacterial disease and her two sons were in their 20s and 30s and their bodies have been preserved in good condition.
