COURT TO DELIVER RULLING TODAY IN EDO POLL
The court of appeal in Benin will deliver judgement on the appeal filed by the peoples democratic party and its candidate,pastor Ize Iyamu ,challenging the rulling of the Edo State election petitions tribunal on the September 2016 governorship poll.
Ize iyamu and PDP are challenging the judgement of the justice Ahmed Badamasi led tribunal which upheld the election of the candidate of the All Progressive Congress,Mr Godwin Obaseki.The tribunal had dismissed petition for lack of merit.
Among other grounds of the appeal ,seeking an order setting aside the decision of Obaseki,while declaring Ize Iyamu as the winner with the highest number of lawfull votes cast in the poll.
Their appeal alleged that the tribunal judges truncated their right to fair hearing by first finding fault,discrediting,disbelieving and dismissing their petition.
