Talks ' to avoid war - EU

 The European Union has made its support behind the efforts to arrange talks between US and the Russia.

the talks were proposed by France  phone calls between French President Emmanuel Macron and Russian President Vladimir Putin. They have agree on “in principle” by the US, though the White House says they will only take place if Russia does not invade Ukraine. 

at the level of leaders, at the level of ministers, whatever format, whatever way of talking and sitting at the table and trying to avoid a war, is badly needed," EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell told reporters.

"We will support anything that can make diplomatic conversations the best way, the only way to look for a solution to the crisis," he said.
