Taiwan to join ‘democratic countries’ in sanctioning Russia
We harshly condemn such act of invasion, will join democratic countries to impose sanctions, Su told reporters in Taipei without giving details.
Taiwan Minister of economy Wang Mei-hua told reporters the island will scrutinise” exports to Russia and “coordinate” with unspecified allies for further actions. She did not elaborate.
foreign ministry said in a statement that the island, which is key in the global semi-conductor supply chain, will “coordinate with the United States and other countries to adopt appropriate measures in order to free Ukraine from the horrors of war.”
